Review of WWF WrestleMania VI

Big promo to start with build-up to Hogan/Warrior, which doesn't even
begin to explain how anticipated this match is. Think Rock/Hogan back
at WrestleMania XVIII, that's how loud this crowd is.

Robert Goulet (GOOOOO-LAAAY, Will Ferrell fans will laugh at that)
sings "Oh Canada". We stand on guard for THEEEEE? I have to admit;
it's a catchy tune.

What makes this WrestleMania kick even more ass is that they have the
little rings that drive the wrestlers down to ringside. I still think
it's a good idea and they should use them for every WrestleMania, gives
it the ?big event? feel.

Koko B. Ware vs. "The Model" Rick Martel
Martel was still sporting the full 80's haircut here, and was still
working the kinks out of his new gimmick.

Martel attacks and hammers away in the corner, but Koko gets a
crossbody out of the corner for two. Koko follows with a standing
dropkick and a back body drop, and then a clothesline sends Martel to
the outside. Koko brings Martel back in the ring the hard way, but
Martel reverses and Koko is sent to ringside. Back in, Martel gets a
suplex for two and stomps away. Martel heads up to the turnbuckle and
gets a double ax, and then a backbreaker to stay on Koko's back. Rick
tries the Boston Crab, but Koko crawls underneath the ropes to break,
to Jesse's dismay. Koko no-sells being rammed into the turnbuckle, and
Koko answers with his own. Off the ropes, Koko catches Martel with a
pair of running headbutts for two. Martel ducks a crossbody from the
corner, and locks on the Boston Crab for the submission.
Winner: Rick Martel

Almost a squash for Martel, as Koko just got token offense in *1/2 for
an unenergetic opener.

Mean Gene is with the Colostomy Connection according to Gene,
angering Heenan. The Colossal Connection (Andre and Haku) promise to
eliminate Demolition.

Sean Mooney is with Demolition, as Ax promises to cut them down and
Smash wants to drive Andre and Haku off a cliff? well then.

WWF Tag Team Titles
The Colossal Connection (Andre the Giant and Haku) vs. Demolition
Kick-ass entrance theme for Demolition makes me happy, so I might be
more generous with the star rating.

I LOVE the mini-rings they use for this event to bring the wrestlers
down to the ring, those DEFINITELY need to make a comeback. Hey, don't
laugh? Marty Jannetty made one.

Haku hammers away on Smash to start, but he reverses and runs Haku into
Ax's boot. Ax comes in, and Andre comes in SO slowly and gets a weak
shot on Ax. Ax and Haku have a slugfest as the crowd gets on Heenan.
Tag to Smash, but he gets thumbed to the eye. They fight over a
backslide, and Smash finally gets it, but Andre breaks it up. Andre is
so sad to watch, because he moves so slowly and his shots look like my
grandmother is throwing them. Ax comes in, but Haku ducks and gets a
chop to the throat. Backbreaker gets two, and Haku follows with a
crescent kick. Choke on the ropes, and Heenan slaps Ax just to be an
ass. Ax goes after Andre, bad idea as he gets nail and it gets a slow
two count for Haku. Haku works over Ax in the corner while Andre holds
him, and then rams Ax into Andre's head? which is the first time I?ve
ever seen that. Smash comes in to make the save to a nice pop, but Haku
stays in control and chokes Ax on the ropes again. Haku is working this
whole match, and believe me, he will NEVER tag in Andre, as his health
is too deteriorated. Like I've said before, when they cut away to a
shot of how large the crowd is, your match is boring. Haku goes to the
nervehold because he's tired and can't tag in the Giant. Crowd is
SERIOUSLY behind Demolition at this point, and Andre chokes out Ax with
the tag rope behind the referee's back. Another Ax comeback attempt
goes nowhere, as Haku chops away. Shoulderbreaker gets two, but Haku
runs into a boot in the corner. Ax makes the HOT tag to Haku, and this
is the first time I've seen someone get the hot tag, and the other heel
doesn't come in the ring to get beat up. Smash gets an elbow and works
over Haku with a back body drop. He gets a weak cross body, and Andre
comes in and gets nailed by Smash. Ax drops Haku with a right hand, and
a double clothesline from Demolition has Andre slumped in the corner.
The referee tries to escort Ax out of the ring, while Andre gets nailed
with a superkick from Haku by accident, tying him up in the ropes.
After that, it?s a double stungun, and Total Demolition as the crowd
goes BEZERK as Demolition win the titles for the second time.
Winners and NEW Champions: Demolition

Post-match, Heenan flips on Andre, blaming him for the loss and making
the mistake of slapping the Giant. Uh oh. Andre nails Heenan to a HUGE
pop, then catches a Haku superkick and headbutts him right out of the
ring. Andre then dumps Haku and Heenan off the mini-ring too and
basically retires from wrestling with the huge ovation that he
deserves. Great moment, but doesn't make the match any better, *.

?Mean? Gene is with Jimmy Hart and Earthquake, who was called the
Canadian Earthquake before this event. Quake yells a lot.

Hercules vs. Earthquake
Quake tries to jump Hercules from behind, but Herc sends him to the
outside with a bloody nose. Quake is pissed, and gets back in the ring
and starts jumping up and down, causing Herc to cling to the ropes in
fear? right. Quake wants a test of strength, and Herc obliges. Quake
gets the better of it, and rams Herc into the corner. He SLOWLY works
over Hercules, and pounds on him in the corner. Quake puts his head
down and gets kicked, but Hercules can?t bring Quake down with four
clotheslines. A fifth one drops Quake to a knee, and Hercules very
stupidly tries to put Quake in a freaking Torture Rack, and Quake drops
a big elbow on him. Quake drops the Butt Drop on him and that?s it.
Winner: Earthquake

Some interview with some chick with Elizabeth, and I fast forward
because I?m feeling extra impatient tonight.

Sean Mooney is with Brutus ?The Toll Booth Worker? Beefcake, who
promises to sever Mr. Perfect?s perfect record.

Brutus ?The Barber? Beefcake vs. Mr. Perfect (w/ The Genius)
Perfect starts off pounding away on Beefcake in the corner, but Brutus
quickly turns the tide and nails Perfect over the top rope. Perfect
comes back inside and takes an atomic drop and goes sailing over the
top again. Perfect takes his time getting back in, as Brutus rallies
the crowd. Perfect gets a shot in and rams Beefcake?s head into the
corner, but he reverses an Irish whip to the corner and Perfect works
in the 360 sell. Bodyslam doesn?t even get a one count, and Brutus gets
another Irish whip into the corner. Curt Hennig is the definition of
over-selling. Beefcake signals for the Sleeper, but the Genius drops
his scroll in the ring and distracts the ref. Perfect TEES off on
Beefcake, and the crowd HATES that. Perfect stomps away on Beefcake?s
face, and Perfect gets the snapping neckbreaker for two, I love that
move. Perfect works the back, as Gorilla and Jesse argue over 360 vs.
180 flips. Kneelift from Perfect, and Perfect trash talks Beefcake
while pounding away. This is really boring, Beefcake just gets up and
Perfect slugs him down. FINALLY, Beefcake reverses and catapults
Perfect into the post, which is the only way to beat Curt Hennig EVERY
SINGLE TIME. Sure enough, cover, 3 count.
Winner: Brutus ?The Barber? Beefcake

I expected A LOT more out of this, and I think the crowd did too. Upset
win, but again, doesn?t make the match any better ** for some OK stuff.

Recap of the Bad News Brown-Roddy Piper feud, as they show them
eliminating each other at the Rumble, and then brawling.

?Mean? Gene is with Roddy Piper, who has half his body painted black,
guaranteeing to offend every single person in the crowd.

?Rowdy? Roddy Piper vs. Bad News Brown
They roll around on the ground to start, as the referee pulls then
apart for some reason. Piper gets a crossbody for two, and Bad News
jumps on him with right hands. The referee separates them again, and
now Piper tees off on Brown, but the referee breaks it up, and this
time Bad News nails Piper. Bad News stays on him, and then goes to a
nervehold, which is a popular move tonight. Another shot showing the
large crowd, which means what? Thank you. Piper fights out and slugs
away, but Bad News gets a boot to turn the tide and get two. I don?t
think there?s been a wrestling move yet. Bodyslam by Bad News, and he
drops an elbow for two. Piper pokes him in the eye, and hammers away on
the corner. Bad News returns the favor with an eye gouge, and takes the
turnbuckle pad off. Piper reverses the whip into the exposed buckle,
and now puts on what I guess is a loaded white glove. This match SUCKS.
Piper hammers away with the loaded glove, which I?m not sure why it
isn?t a DQ. Gorilla says the referee must have checked the glove before
the match? OOOOOOOOOK. Bad New rolls outside, and Piper follows,
swinging and missing with a chair. Finally, the referee calls for the
bell and ends this mess.
No Contest

This was beyond bad, they tried to get this over as a brawl and failed
miserably. DUD, yes at a WrestleMania.

Steve Allen is in the shower with a piano, mocking Nikolai Volkoff and
Boris Zhukov with fake Russian music. Ha ha?

The Hart Foundation vs. The Bolsheviks (Volkoff and Zhukov)
Russian National Anthem gets broken up by the Hart Foundation to a big
pop, and Volkoff gets dumped. Hart Attack for Zhukov and that?s it.
Yes, I?m serious.
Winners: The Hart Foundation

Hmm, another DUD. Move along.

?Mean? Gene is with Tito Santana, and Gene builds him up, which makes
me feel he is doing the job tonight.

The Barbarian vs. Tito Santana
Wow I forgot how weak this undercard really is. Tito works him over in
the corner, and Barbarian calmly walks through the ropes to get advice
from Heenan. Back inside, Tito tries a shoulderblock and doesn?t move
the Barbarian, he bounces off again and gets a crossbody for two. Tito
goes for a headlock, but takes a BIG hiptoss. Tito gets a headscissors
for two, and then goes right back to the headlock. Tito loves that
hold. Off the ropes, Barbarian catches him with a stiff looking big
boot. Barbarian gets a shoulderbreaker, but misses an elbow from the
second rope. Barbarian misses a blind charge, and Tito hammers away,
and gets a pair of standing dropkicks to send Barbarian down. Double ax
from the second rope sets up the Flying Forearm, but Heenan puts the
Barbarian?s foot on the ropes. Tito tries a schoolboy, but Barbarian
reverses and gets a HUGE flying clothesline from the top (complete with
360 sell from Tito) for the pin.
Winner: The Barbarian

Well it breaks the dud streak, but wasn?t much better. ** for effort.

Recap of the Dusty/Savage feud that sets up this first mixed tag match
in WrestleMania history. Crowd goes nuts when Sapphire throws Sherri
around.

Sean Mooney is with Dusty Rhodes (?the common man?), it?s still funny
that Dusty managed to get this ridiculous gimmick over even after
McMahon tried to sabotage him the best he could. Of course, Dusty would
eventually be jobbed out and sent right back to the NWA.

Mixed Tag Team Match
?Macho King? Randy Savage and Queen Sherri vs. Dusty Rhodes and Sapphire
Jesse Ventura?s commentary is worth the price of the tape alone. Dusty
brings out Elizabeth to a big pop, calling her the ?Crown Jewel?, wow
was she hot. And now she?s dead, thank you Lex Luger.

Savage?s rainbow trunks are kinda fruity looking. AAAAAAAAAAMERICAN
DREEEEEEEEEEAAAAM. Rhodes and Sapphire are announced at 446 lbs, and
Ventura says that means Dusty weighs only 200lbs. That?s your Harvard
professor right there kiddies. May I say again? Elizabeth=WOWIE WOW
WOW. Thank you for your time. Oh right, the match.

Dusty and Savage start, and women can only fight women in this one.
Dusty gets an elbow off the ropes, and Sherri comes in from behind,
allowing Savage to get a cheap shot. Dusty catches Savage coming off
the top and throws him into Sherri and tags in Sapphire. Sapphire
shoves Sherri into Savage and proceeds to ram her large butt into
Sherri?s head a few times. She gives Sherri a VERY bad airplane spin
for a one count. Sherri is pissed, so she slugs Sapphire, but tries to
bodyslam Sapphire and Sapphire falls on top for two. Dusty tags in and
nails Savage coming in. Dusty then holds Savage for Sapphire to slap
him, and then he runs the heels together again. Savage comes back with
a high knee to send Dusty to the outside, and Sherri gets her own
cheapshots in. Savage comes off the top with a double ax to the
outside, and then goes after Sapphire, allowing Sherri to beat on Dusty
some more. Savage goes up top again and drops another double ax to the
floor. A third time? Why not. But this time Sapphire stands in front of
Dusty, so Savage gets off and throws her to the floor. Attaboy Randy.
Back inside, Savage gets a suplex for two. We get a conflicting shot
here, of Liz?s bare back (HOT) and Sapphire?s large ass (AHH!!). Sherri
distracts the referee, allowing Savage to nail Dusty with the scepter,
so Macho tags in Sherri who gets a splash from the top rope. That wakes
up the Dream, who gives the heels a double noggin knocker, and hammers
away on Savage in the corner. Sherri jumps on Dusty?s back, so Sapphire
comes in and snap mares her off, that gets two. Sapphire throws Sherri
across the ring and Elizabeth trips her when she tries to get up.
Sapphire gets what I think was supposed to be a DDT, and Macho comes in
to break it up. Dusty takes care of Savage, while Sherri jaws at Liz.
Liz finally grabs her by the hair and nails her, and Sherri trips over
Sapphire, who rolls her up for the pin.
Winners: Dusty Rhodes and Sapphire

Post-match, Liz dances with the Dream and Sapphire, causing me to
relive all my fantasies from so long ago. Poor Macho, main event to
this. Match was ?eh? **.

Backstage, ?Mean? Gene is with Bobby Heenan. Heenan mocks Andre the
Giant, and blames him for losing the Tag Titles. Heenan promises to
start a new Family.

Monsoon and Jesse are with some gossip person, fast forward.

Sean Mooney is with Randy Savage and Sherri, who freak out in their own
special way. Suffering builds character, and Dusty is going to build A
LOT of character according to Savage.

Backstage, AGAIN, and ?Mean? Gene is with Hulk Hogan. Hogan gives a
weird promo that tells Warrior to breathe his final breath into Hogan
and live forever. Ummm? ok Hulk.

Sean Mooney is with the Ultimate Fruitcake, who shoves Mooney away and
goes off on one of his screaming promos. Probably upset that even he
doesn?t know what ?dextrucity? means.

The Orient Express (Saito and Tanaka) vs. The Rockers
You know, I know this sounds stupid, but I really think they should put
the tag titles on the Rockers now. Let them run with them and have some
great matches, I think it would definitely elevate the belts. Hell, why
not let them feud with Edge and Christian, that would rock.

Marty and Tanaka start off, with Marty slugging Tanaka down, but then
taking a crescent kick. Tanaka comes off the ropes and Marty catches
him with a powerslam, which draws in Saito and Shawn. The Rockers get
the double-team hiptoss/kip up, and then throw Tanaka onto Saito.
Double planchas for everyone, and the Express have to regroup. Back in,
Marty grabs a headlock on Tanaka, then bounces off the ropes, but Fuji
pulls down the rope and Marty goes over the top. Tanaka runs Marty into
the post and rolls back in. Back inside, Saito tags in and chops away
on Marty. Tanaka comes back in, but Marty reverses a suplex and tags in
Shawn, after which the Rockers nail Tanaka with the double superkicks.
Shawn gets a bodyslam, and a back body drop. Tanaka crawls over and
tags Saito, who takes a neckbreaker from Shawn, but a cheapshot from
Tanaka turns the tide. Cool gutwrench gutbuster from Saito, and he tags
in Tanaka who gets a sneaky cross body to send Shawn down. Saito tags
in and gets a knee drop from the top rope for two. Saito gets the move
of the night, the nervehold, but then tags in Tanaka. Tanaka flips over
Michaels, but Shawn takes his head off with a clothesline. HOT tag to
Marty and he cleans house as usual, Gorilla mentions the Rockers
looking ?lethargic? (glug, glug, glug). Rockers get the double dropkick
and double back body drop, but Mr. Fuji hits Marty with his cane to
draw him outside. Saito throws salt in his face and tumbles over into
the front row and gets counted out. WHAT?!?
Winners by countout: The Orient Express

No excuse for these kinda finishes at the biggest show of the year,
plus Marty has to be an idiot for chasing Fuji like that. **1/2 for
decent stuff, but nothing great.

Steve Allen makes fun of Rhythm and Blues (Honky Tonk Man and Greg
Valentine) in the backstage. R&B are going to sing ?Honky Honky Love?,
and Steve Allen is the unfunniest person on this planet. Plus, he?s a
hypocrite, because he was a main spokesperson for the PTC when they
were trying to get SmackDown! taken off the air. But, he had no problem
taking a payday here, huh?

Dino Bravo vs. ?Hacksaw? Jim Duggan
Earthquake is wandering around ringside with Bravo, and Jesse makes fun
of Duggan for chanting ?USA? in Canada. Duggan gets some MAJOR heel
heat for the flag waving, damn those Canadians are harsh.

Slow start, with Duggan getting a clothesline and a back body drop. He
weakly clotheslines Bravo over the top rope, and goes HOOOOO a lot.
Back in, Duggan gets an atomic drop, and hammers away in the corner.
Duggan misses a blind charge, and Bravo swings away with right hands.
Bravo gets an inverted atomic drop and then chokes away, then
Earthquake gets his cheap shots in. Bravo drops an elbow for two. Jesse
calls both Duggan and Earthquake ugly. Bravo keeps hammering away, and
Duggan hulks-up but gets caught with a foot to the face. Into the
corner, Bravo runs into a foot and gets clotheslined three times.
Three-point stance, but Earthquake grabs his foot, allowing Jimmy Hart
to throw the 2x4 into the ring. Duggan grabs it though and nails Bravo
for the three count.
Winner: Jim Duggan

Post-match, Earthquake beats the hell out of Duggan and does the Butt
Drop. Match was a DUD, so move along please.

Recap of DiBiase/Jake Roberts feud, oh I wish I could go back to the
days where feuds lasted 6 months like this one, instead of 3 weeks like
today.

Million Dollar Title Match
?The Million Dollar Man? Ted DiBiase vs. Jake ?The Snake? Roberts
Of course, the Million Dollar Belt was DiBiase?s ?reward? for not
winning the title at WrestleMania IV, seems like an even trade to me.

Slugfest to start, and Jake takes over with a kneelift and then tries
for the DDT, but DiBiase runs away. Back inside, Jake gets a hiptoss
and goes for the DDT again, and once again DiBiase rolls outside
frustrated. Jake drags Ted back inside and works over the shoulder,
then drives the knee into the arm before locking on a hammerlock. Raise
your hand if you think anyone will ever submit to a hammerlock?thank
you. DiBiase reverses into his own hammerlock, but Jake uses his
momentum to put him to the outside. Jake drags him back in again, but
gets caught with his head down. Jake goes for a high knee, but DiBiase
sweeps his feet out from under him and Jake takes a pretty nice bump
onto his head. DiBiase slowly works him over and then gets a front
facelock. Jesse loves the fact that the people are doing ?The Wave?,
which I wouldn?t point out because I think that means they are bored.
But, the WWF makes it seem like it means they are THAT excited. I
dunno. Anyway, DiBiase throws Jake outside and drives his shoulder into
the post, as Jesse is more excited about the Wave than this match.
DiBiase tries to get the crowd?s attention and fails miserably, so he
punishes Jake with a piledriver, but a cocky pin attempt is reverses
for a two count for Jake. DiBiase is pissed now and drives the knee
into his shoulder, and now he locks on the Million Dollar Dream. Jake
rolls to the mat and gets his foot on the ropes to break the hold.
DiBiase goes to the second rope, but gets caught coming off with a
right hand and Jake gets a clothesline. Inverted atomic drop and
another clothesline, followed by a back body drop. Trademark short-arm
clothesline, but Virgil pulls Jake out of the ring and of course Jake
kicks his ass. DiBiase sneaks up behind Jake and locks on the Million
Dollar Dream and Jake runs him into the post. But Virgil rolls Ted back
inside and Jake is counted out for the LAME finish.
Winner and STILL ?champion?: ?The Million Dollar Man? Ted DiBiase

Ehhh, this was nothing special, so it gets ** like everything that?s
like that. Jake gets a DDT after the bell to get his revenge.

Backstage, Sean Mooney is with Slick and Akeem the African Dream.
Akeem?s gimmick is basically pretending to be black? this gimmick was
copied today and given to John Cena. (BURN!)

Akeem vs. Big Bossman
Akeem is announced from ?deepest, darkest Africa? which I think is a
few miles past Parts Unknown. Then they go and announce Bossman from
?The Department of Corrections? just to upset me more. DiBiase was
still hiding under the ring, and he jumps the Bossman and beats the
hell out of him. DiBiase throws him into the ring and Akeem works him
over.

Akeem gets an avalanche in the corner for two, and then headbutts him
down. Akeem tries a 10-punch in the corner, but Bossman gets an
inverted atomic drop to counter. He runs Akeem back and forth into the
corners, and clotheslines Akeem down. Off the ropes, Akeem ducks a
clothesline but gets caught with the Bossman Slam for the pin.
Winner: The Big Bossman

Wasn?t long enough to be anything, ?* just for the Bossman Slam.

Sean Mooney is in the crowd and interviews a nerdy kid and a shy girl
about Rhythm and Blues. He also talks to Mary Tyler Moore, who says she
has all the Honky Tonk Man?s albums? she has no clue about wrestling at
all. Sean also says WrestleMania VII will be in the LA Coliseum and
over 100,000 people will be there? HA! We all know how that turned out.

Rhythm and Blues come out in a pink Cadillac, and blink and you?ll miss
Diamond Dallas Page driving it. HTM sings while Greg Valentine
alternates between pretending to play electric guitar on a freaking
accoustic, and standing around looking stupid. Some random ?vendors?
come down to ringside and HTM says, ?Wait a minute, that?s Luke and
Butch, the Bushwhackers!? and sounds very stupid doing so. The
Bushwhackers smash the guitars to end this pointless segment.

?Ravishing? Rick Rude vs. ?Superfly? Jimmy Snuka
Snuka is so over the hill at this point it?s not even funny. What?s
even more funny (in a sad kinda funny, not a ?ha-ha? funny) is that he
would still have a job for like 5 more years after this.

Steve Allen calls Snuka ugly, and that?s the pot calling the kettle
black right there.

Rude jumps Snuka from behind, but Snuka holds the ropes on a dropkick
attempt by Rude. Snuka gets a back body drop, mocks Rude, and drops a
headbutt on Rude?s gut. Snuka dropkicks Rude over the top, and Rude
tries a sunset flip, but Snuka reverses. Off the rope, Jimmy gets
caught with his head down and Rude gets a suplex. Rude gets his own
back body drop, but gets caught with his head down and Snuka slams his
head into the mat. Rude puts Snuka down with a shoulderblock, but Jimmy
comes back with one of his own. Snuka goes up top, but has to jump down
and drives Rude into the corner. Bodyslam by Snuka, and he goes to the
second rope and misses a headbutt. Rude Awakening gets the pin.
Winner: ?Ravishing? Rick Rude

This actually wasn?t bad, but too short for anything so it?s ** and
moving on.

Recap of the MASSIVE Hogan/Warrior feud. Starting with the Rumble
showdown that rivaled the Hogan/Rock match in terms of crowd heat.
Warrior clotheslined Hogan by accident the next week, and then Warrior
gets all pissed off the at The Main Event because Hogan saves him from
Earthquake. Two weeks later, Warrior saves Hogan from Earthquake
(wearing brown and looking like a big turd) and now Hogan gets all
pissy.

WWF World Title vs. WWF Intercontinental Title
Hulk Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior
Hogan gets a better pop on his entrance, and it?s kind of cool to see
the same Hogan sign here that was at WrestleMania XVIII at SkyDome.

Big staredown to start, as the crowd is about 50/50 at this point,
making the atmosphere that much better. I came to the conclusion that
Hogan wouldn?t be nearly as cool with his yellow mustache. Warrior
shoves Hogan, and Hogan shoves right back. Lockup and Hogan gets pushed
back for the first time I?ve ever seen. Another lockup and Warrior gets
shoved into the corner. Warrior wants a test of strength (?Greco-Roman
knuckle lock? according to Jesse) and Hogan obliges. Warrior drives
Hogan down to his knees, horrifying one half of the crowd, and the
other half loves it. Hogan fights to his feet and the Warrior is driven
to his knees and these two have the crowd in the palm of their hands.
Warrior fights up, but Hogan trips him and drops an elbow for a quick
two count. Shoulderblock gets nothing for either, and Hogan catches
Warrior with a slam, which is quickly no-sold. Criss-cross and Warrior
gets a bodyslam and clotheslines Hulk over the top rope, and Hogan
hurts his left knee on the landing. Hogan tries to walk it off, but
collapses, so the Warrior goes outside and stomps him a few times.

Warrior drags him back in as Hogan is doing a damn good selling job
with the knee, and Hogan and Warrior go to the eyes. Hogan gets pissed
as Warrior is fighting dirty, so Hulk hammers away and clotheslines
Warrior in the corner. 10-punch in the corner, and Hulk gets a bodyslam
and drops a pair of elbows for two. Front facelock slows things down,
and Hulk turns it into a small package for one. Hogan goes to the
chinlock, and Hogan chops away like a MAN in the corner. Clothesline
sends Warrior to the mat and it gets two. Hogan loses points because he
is ignoring the knee injury now, shame shame. Neckbreaker gets two, and
Hogan goes back to the chinlock. Hulk gets a back suplex and it gets a
close two, so Hogan goes right back to the rear chinlock. Hogan is
carrying this match, which isn?t something you usually see. Warrior
feeds off the crowd and breaks the hold, off the ropes and they
clothesline each other for the double KO. Warrior sits up first, big
pop for that one, and Warrior gets to the ropes and starts shaking
them? this ain?t good for Hulk. Hogan pounds away, but it?s not going
to do any good and Warrior clotheslines the hell out of the Hulkster.
Warrior runs Hogan to the corner, and gets a pretty nice suplex for
two.

Warrior locks on a bearhug and Hulk fights out of it, and Warrior
accidentally runs over Earl Hebner. Warrior comes off the top with a
double ax handle, then goes to opposite corner and does the same thing.
Hogan counters the big shoulderblock from the Warrior, driving him into
the mat and knocking him out, but there is no referee to count the
three count. Hogan is very frustrated as you can imagine, and Warrior
sneaks up and gets a back suplex and there is still no referee for HIS
three count. Hebner finally comes to, but Hulk kicks out at 2.99999.
Hulk gets a quick shot the eyes and rolls up the Warrior for a LONG two
count, which Hulk is not happy about at all. Hulk elbows the Warrior
over the top rope, but the Warrior counters the rams Hogan into the
post. Back inside, Warrior gets the Gorilla Press and the Big Splash
for one? two? kick out!! Hulk up time! Crowd is just losing it at this
point. Big boot, but Warrior rolls out of the way of the legdrop and
gets a Big Splash off the ropes as Hogan doesn?t kick out in time and
Warrior gets the big win.
Winner and NEW Champion: The Ultimate Warrior

Post-match, Hogan hands Warrior the title and Jesse proclaims
Hulkamania will live forever, in the first nice thing I?ve ever heard
him say about Hulk. **** for a great match, and an emotional ending.

Final Word

Well, the undercard is crap, but if you have never seen the
Hogan/Warrior match you need to. It is Hulk Hogan carrying the Warrior
to a great match and putting him over clean in the middle of the ring.
