How to Build a Better Body

If we all listened to "Ravishing" Rick Rude, we'd think of ourselves as fat, out of shape, internet-surfing couch potatoes who should keep the noise down as Rick takes his robe off and shows us what a real man is supposed to look like.  Now hit the music.

We also watch all the lean, hard bodies in the octagon do back flips, front flips, side flips, and flipping off, wondering why our own bodies can't look that way, too.

That's because you have a job and can't train 8 hours a day like fighters can.  A lot of them also use performance enhancing drugs, but a lot of them don't.  Still, most of us can stand to either lose a few, or in our case, gain a few.

Granted, not all of us possess the genetics to acquire the physiques of Sean Sherk or John Cena, but you can transform our bodies to a significant degree... IF you want it bad enough.  But not so bad that you'll take steroids.  That's the easy (and illegal) way out.  And if you follow wrestling and are aware of its grisly death toll, you'll understand why.

This section of The Armpit is dedicated to those of you who want to build a better body.  Whether it's to improve your health, get more women, or to just look better when you see yourself in the mirror, we'll provide you with the proper resources to help get the job done.

For starters, know your limitations.  Someone born with the genetics of Spike Dudley is never going to look like Lex Luger, or even CM Punk for that matter.  Small guys are small guys, and we just have to accept that.  And someone born with the genetics of Dustin Rhodes isn't going to look like Bobby Lashley (Bobby Eaton maybe), or even Cody Rhodes.

But no matter your situation, even if you're handicapped, you can make some changes.  We've added sections to this page that will send you on your way to a better body, but it will take some research and hard work on your part, too.  We did our best to only recommend and endorse quality stuff.  We're not fans of fluffy gimmick products that don't work.

We've broken everything down into the following:

E-books: The market is flooded, but we think we've sifted through it to find you some good reads that are definitely worth your time.  We love E-books because of their ease of use, and how you can either read them on your PC, laptop, PDA, or print them out and take them wherever you go.

Books: The ease of book publishing has made it easier for some really smart people to write some really great books tailored for all kinds of body types.  If you're skinny with one ear and have 6 fingers on one hand, there's a book for you.

Build muscle fast with Award Winning Optimum Whey

Supplement Stores: We're not connoisseurs of supplements, but if you're serious about this and have potential to put on some good size, then supplements may work for you.  Do your homework, though.  Some supplements are worthless and expensive.  Make sure you know what you're buying.  BodyBuilding.com is our preferred source, as they have good deals and you can look up honest reviews in their awesome bodybuilding forums.

Articles: The best articles we've seen are on Bodybuilding.com, so we linked to their article page.  There are lots of articles out there on bodybuilding, but many are awful.  Not here.

Best of luck in your journey, and be sure to write us with any success stories so we can post them.
