RESPONSE TO WHO'S ON STEROIDS

Scotty 2 Hotty and I went to the same high school. Had the same gym teacher. If anybody knows if he's on the juice, it would be me. And yes, he is. Or at least he used to be, despite our best efforts to get him to quit using back during school. I haven't talked to him in years, but he did back then, and considering how much of a free flow of juice there is in Vince McMahon's locker room, seems obvious that he would keep using. Not to mention he had neck surgery a while back and had to get the bulk back as quickly as he could. Just thought I'd share this little bit of insight to you. Keep up the good work.

Armpit: I'm withholding this other person's name who sent me that.  I will add that Scotty had a cancer scare not too long ago.  Given that, I think he's off right now, and if not, he's out of his mind.

Hey WP, one final post --

On your steroid column, what about the women?  If the guys get manboobs, then the feminine side-effect should be called "Chyna-jaws."  I nominate Lita and Victoria as obvious examples.

JH

Armpit: It never occurred to me to rate the women, and if I did, I wouldn't know what I was talking about because I don't really know how a woman's look changes when she's on the juice.  But the article was so popular I might do it again, with TNA.

I really doubt that ric flair is on steroids.  He is bigger than he has been in the past, but i somehow doubt it.  he doesn't need to be big anymore (i don't ever remember him being that muscular), since he doesn't wrestle constantly.  HHH yes, batista yes.

No name given

Armpit: If a fiftysomething-year-old guy jiggles and makes himself wrestle with a shirt in WCW, and then takes the shirt off and doesn't jiggle in WWE despite being several years older, something is definitely up.  He has already admitted to taking them in the past, so you know he's not afraid to use them.

Hey Professor, I just read your article about the Raw roster and steroids. I have to say that it was a great read but not too shocking at all. Guys like Triple H and Batista are very obvious users, I knew Benoit was a gym freak but was never sure about his use. I'm not saying I agree with everything you wrote but it was a good article all the same. Well Done.

ARM-PIT-VIEW

To the idiot who wrote the Wrestlemania VIII review: Papa Shango didn't miss his cue.  Sid was supposed to stay down for three and kicked out because he figured he had nothing to lose since he recently failed a drug test and was leaving the WWF anyway.  Management sent Shango out to DQ Sid, but the ref had already signaled for the bell when Whippleman interfered.  Whippleman apparently suspected that Sid would pull something, so he was ready.  You can see Hogan motion 1-2-3 with his hands to the Warrior as they celebrate.  Oh and by theway...GO FLYERS!

Rob Shank

Armpit: I didn't write that WM8 review, but I'm not quite sure if what you're saying is true, either.  I had never heard that story before.  If anyone else has, please let me know.

ARMPIT PUNCTUALITY

IT'S MONDAY.  WHAT THE FUCK.  If you say Monday make it Monday,  Armpit is all I have left since E,C.W  closed, and now it is down to 1 day.  Dam I need to get a LIFE,  well I will start right after I get the WWE  replica belt.   Moooommmmmm  I need some money.

It has happened like I said WWE is going to ruin the one thing that E.C.W fans had.  SO funny when McAsshole said it was going to be a E.C.W thing ONLY.  All that's left is Masters to show up and break Stevie Richards Nose AGAIN.  1 more thing who is going to believe TAZZ turn to TAZ and then turn back??? Meaning WWE fans why why why!!!! This was our moment a thank you to the E.C.W. fans and a chant of welcome back. I give up wrestling forever after I attend Shane's event.

P.S.  There is no E.C.W.   without Raven.  and where is New Jack?? and that Bitch Francine was not even called by WWE???

AT LEAST WE STILL HAVE vhs LEFT

Rocco

Armpit: When I say the site is updated every Monday, remember it's Pacific time.  Most wrestling fans are on the East Coast, not West Coast like I am.  The site should almost definitely be up and running by 10am EST, 7am PST.

FACT VS. FICTION W/ DUSTY RHODES

Well, well, well, it looks like the Professor took a lesson from Tom Zenk.
Excellent piece of work, it reminds me of some of the vintage Zenk columns in 2000. As a matter a fact he was bashing Rhodes too is that a coincidence or what ...

Mickel Tilburg

Armpit: It IS a coincidence, actually.  I only read a couple Zenk columns, which was right after he did the Pick My Brain with us and then vanished off the face of the Earth.  I do wish he'd come back.  There has been speculation why Zenk is MIA, from his getting threatened with WWE legal action to how he doesn't want to upset upper WWE management because he has friends there now.  Who knows.

UNDERTAKER

Hi my name is Donnie and I love your articles, I find them funny and very entertaining.  However, I do have a problem with you bashing The Undertaker for not giving guys a push; think about it, Undertaker has been on top of this company for years, has he ever had a problem jobbing? No. Now HHH is a completely different story, but back on topic; when was the last time 'Taker had the belt, '02. He jobs constantly!

Keep up with the good articles

Donnie

Armpit: Oh man, wait until you see a piece of satire I'm writing on Undertaker, which should be up later this month.  It definitely paints a different picture of him than the one you painted.  I'm sorry, let's agree to disagree.

IT MAKES NO F'N SENSE

As to how Jesse Ventura could override Vince McMahon in Minnesota...

As you may or may not know, every professional sport has to register with each states' board of athletics. (For example, the state of Pennsylvania banned the use of 95% of pro wrestling's favorite weapons due to CZW being too extreme.) As the governor of said state, you would have executive power over all of those boards, including the board of athletics. Therefore, if you had a problem with the way a show went, you could theoretically step in.

The Armpit kicks ass.

ECW

I was reading your ECW story and was wondering, what was the hotel that you were staying at, the one where you saw Terry Funk?  I'm heading up to Hardcore Heaven and am trying to figure out where to stay.

Tom

Armpit: Sorry, I have no idea what hotel it was.  But I'm typing this the morning after Hardcore Heaven occurred, and New Jack said they were staying at the Hilton.  That may have been the same hotel we stayed at.  But obviously it's too late now, since this will get posted on Monday.  Just follow the smell of recreational drugs, and you'll eventually wind up near an ECW wrestler.

WWE STREETFIGHTER

Hello

I really enjoy your website and everything you do. I saw a flaw in the Streetfighter tournament. In Round 2, you had John Cena vs. Eddie Guerrero. I believe you had Cena win that round. Well in Round 3, I noticed that you had Eddie still in the tournament. Not that it mattered anyways, seeing how Angle or Shelton was going to win anyways. Just thought I'd mention it. Keep up the awesome work!

Ryan

Armpit: You're probably right.  Now UFC will never make me booker.  Seriously, I screw up stuff all the time.  Just look at my weekly quizzes on wrestlingobserver.com.  Last week I gave away the answer to one of the questions by accident.  This site needs some quality control, damnit.

"What happened to Billy Kidman?  This guy had more charisma when he was a skinny, depressed looking member of the flock.  Now look at him.  Sure, he's got Torrie, but with that haircut and bland look, he's a sure bet to become one of the most boring wrestlers ever (and we'll be doing a full list of boring wrestlers very soon on this site)."

Is it just me, or does EVERYONE look boring in the WWE?  They got like 3 guys who don't have the same short-hair/bald clean shaven look.  No one's indistinguishable anymore; and people wonder why no one's getting over.

Those that aren't boring and DO get over end up getting their nuts cut off.  HHH isn't just to blame, it's that damn 50-50 booking policy the WWE enforces to placate everyone in the back.  Problem is, no one gets over if everyone keeps "getting their win back."

WCW may have sucked shit in their last 3 years but they at least got it right in that for someone to get over they need to look dominant. (i.e. Goldberg, Scott Steiner)

Aldo

Armpit: It's not you.  Everyone DOES look boring in WWE.  Especially on SmackDown.

SEPARATED AT BIRTH?

Are Carlito and Jorge Estrada the same person? If not what ever happened to Jorge?

Judy

Armpit: It's not the same guy, and I have no idea what happened to Jorge Estrada.  But after seeing how much weight the Sandman has gained, maybe Sandman ate him.

FINISHING MOVES

I would be gracious if you could answer the following questions to your remembrance for me, if you have not enough time, i understand , thanks, i would appreciate it

1.) What was The Repo Man's finishing move in the WWF? i heard it was a Front Leg Twist Submission move, Like a front ankle lock,  called the Repo Lock or the Crow Bar?

2.) In The WWF, Adam Bomb to my sources used three finishers at one point threw out his 2 year career their as Adam Bomb, what were they, to my knowledge it and what was the moves called, i heard they were....

2.A)  A Powerbomb he called the Atomizer? or Atom Smasher, then A top Rope Clothesline called the Neutron Bomb then back to the Atom Smasher, then later the last one was a Pumphandle Slam he went under the name as "Atom Smasher" can you confirm any of these, most of the arena reports i read he used the Spring board top Rope Clothesline and called it the Atom Smasher could you confirm any of these moves and names?

also i read that Adam Bomb stopped using the powerbomb maneuver, because Diesel started using the "Jackknife" powerbomb, but then read it was Adam Bomb used a Kneeling Powerbomb pin move, where he powerbombed his opponent and kneeled down, pressing the opponents legs back to his shoulders to hold him down for the pin??? basically a Kneeling Powerbomb Pin, can you confirm any of these?

3.) Also what was Tom Prichard's Finishing Move in the WWF? either as Dr. X (A House show, card wrestler) or Tom Prichard in the Heavenly Bodies?

4.) Stan Lane's Finishing Move?

I would appreciate this, if you cold confirm and answer my questions please ,if you can't i understand thanks for your time though, i'm constructing websites for both past and WCW Past wrestler's finishers so i could appreciate your answers..thanks

Chuck

Armpit: If anyone knows the answers, email me and I'll forward the answers on to Chuck.

AWA

I don't know if you ever attended any AWA wrestling matches in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, but the AWA SOLD OUT the Minneapolis Arena LOTS of times. Also St. Paul when they wrestled there it ALSO SOLD OUT.

Harley Race and Larry Henning vs The Crusher and Dick the Brusier had GREAT matches together. Mad Dog Vachon packed them in as well as DR. X.

If as you say the wrestling was average..they would not have sold out those building as many times as they did.

Plus they had the live TV shows on at 5:00 until 6:00 and they would put on a live show at the Arena. We lived in Eau Claire, Wisconsin  and would drive up to Minneapolis or St. Paul, depending where the show was that Saturday night and it was a 95 mile trip, but well worth it.

Also the AWA held matches each Thanksgiving evening and they SOLD the Minneapolis arena every year OUT!!

Ringside seats were only $1.75 back then!!

So please don't say that Vern Gagne did not do a good job with the AWA and the matches were only average.

Thanks,

Bill

Armpit: This letter is in response to a quiz I did where I insinuated AWA did well because it had no competition.
